iPhone 6GB data use on LG Gossip for tethering

I have a fido iPhone 3gs with the 6gb data plan. Can I put my sim card in a fido LG Gossip pro and tether though wifi without additional charges or do I have to change my dataplan? I want to confirm since fido classifies the LG Gossip pro as a phone rather then a smartphone. I cant call in to...
