The comedian put the ride-finding app as well as others on blast on Friday, calling out America's "sharing economy" on "Real Time (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=news/real-time-with-bill-maher/)."
"Airbnb? You really think anybody really wants to have total strangers living in their apartment for a week? 'Oh look, someone else’s pubes on my soap. I’m living the dream,'" Maher said.
One major problem with sharing apps is that some of them can put your personal information at risk (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/uber-data-security_55d230b7e4b07addcb43a7d8?utm_hp_ref=uber& kvcommref=mostpopular), though Maher seemed more focused on the financial aspect. The comedian blames outrageous income inequality and greed for the rise in services he says are now replacing people with robots.
"The one thing we're not sharing are the profits. Somehow they forgot to create an app for that," he quipped.
