Hi

I was given a Telus ISB7105 Wireless receiver for use in a room that i have no access to coaxial or Cat5 cable, however I didnt get given the normal base station(VEN501) that would have normally come with the receiver.
I connected it wirelessly to a repeater in my home (web6000q) by pressing the connect button, this worked for a short while, but then my whole internet network started to behave erratically and i was forced to disconnect and restart everything including the main modem (V1000H)
I can get the receiver to work normally by hard wiring it via a cat5, the problem is when I shut it off with the remote, it then tries to connect again wirelessly, then the network goes down.
I am also unable to view anything on my PVR (ISB7150) through this reciever

Should this configuration work or do I need a separate base station (VEN501)?
Why cant I view the content on the PVR?
Is it necessary I contact Telus to add this receiver to my account or not?
Would it be possible to switch of the Wireless on the ISB7105 receiver, permanently if all else fails?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
