Gambling addiction!!
 

Hi! My name is Jessica and I'm residing in Calgary. I am very unhappy to say that my husband is a gambler. When we were in a relationship before our marriage, he often asked me to lend him money. I often gave him money whenever he asked for it because I loved him very much. But only after our marriage I realized that my husband was hopelessly hooked on poker machines. And I found that he spent most of his time gambling at the casino. When I asked him about this, he told me that his gambling habit had started at the age of 22. Recently he lost his job because of this disorder. His gambling got worse after he lost his job. He started borrowing money from his friends and spend the whole of it on gambling. I advised him to stop his gambling habit and he said that he tried but he couldn't stop it. He also said that he couldn't go more than a week without gambling. My dad suggested taking him for a gambling addiction treatment. But I don't know how to convince him and I am worried how he reacts to it. Is gambling addiction treatment effective? Can this disorder be treated permanently? Please share your insights. Thanking you in advance!

It's awful to be addicted to anything and when it comes to gambling you need to have the right attitude to the game not to get an addiction. I play BTC blackjack a lot but I totally understand that I shouldn't play with money I am afraid to lose and I never do that.
