Wi-Fi adds wing to BharatNet, data usage jumps 190% in villages

A DoT report said that as on April 30 this year, "190 per cent increase in data consumption has been recorded during the last six months in rural areas where broadband internet is provided through Wi-Fi hotspots running on BharatNet Infrastructure".
