With Apple you're either all-in, or all-out. They are also deceptive in terms of who owns content you purchase through them. Back in the day I had an iMac and an iPod. I had purchased hundreds of dollars of music through iTunes, which I had on my iPod. When smartphones got smart enough to put music on it, I bought an android and tried to put my iTunes on it. That's when I found out that not only is iTunes not compatible with Android, but that when you pay Apple $10 an album or $1 a song, you're not actually acquiring ownership of that music, you're leasing the music from Apple.
