Default Myopia

My kid suffers from myopia. I came to know about his eye problem when he started to strain while reading. Also, he is finding difficulty to recognize people from a distance. He used to complain that he couldn’t read anything written on the blackboard. So he used to seek help from his friends. I took him to a nearby clinic and they prescribed glasses. It is so difficult for him to wear glasses while playing. He used to play ice hockey and he is finding difficult to handle glasses while playing. I searched for the possible remedies and came to know about LASIK eye surgery. He is only 14. I read that LASIK can only be done to those who are above 18. Is that true? Are contact lenses safe for children? What are the other laser vision correction methods ( http://clearlakeeye.com/services/las...on-correction/ )? Kindly share your wisdom. It would be a great help for me.
