Default heated jacket

What are the pros and cons of getting a heated jacket at around $150 ~ 200 USD vs. spending it on a decent down jacket?

These jackets no cons. This heater jackets https://ravean.com/ was a little more expensive then i wanted to spend, but the reviews, and a deal i found elsewhere convinced me to order. I have been wearing it a few months and its been good though not great. It is very lightweight and packable. its fairly warm, but not meant for the extreme cold temps ive been facing where i live. Bundled with a sweater i stay warm enough to go from the car to the office. If i was to really go on an adventure i think many layers would be necessary.

I owned another brand jacket of the same type which was less than half the price and felt warmer and just as durable though slightly less packable...The packablilty (being able to store the jacket in its own pocket) is a negligible benefit. Most likely you are wearing it and will not need that aspect.
