'Greening' project could end use of fossil fuel for Centennial Flame
The popular Centennial Flame monument on Parliament Hill has been drawing on natural gas from Western Canada for half a century. But Public Services and Procurement Canada wants a more eco-friendly fuel, and has launched a study to look at alternatives, including electricity and LEDs.
