TV, internet service in rural areas
We moved to 150 Mile House last year. We had optik TV and 100 meg DSL in Surrey, here the only option for TV is satellite (which sucks compared to what we were used to) and 15meg DSL from the remote that's about 900m away. There is no cable TV in this area.
People a few kms down the road from us are not able to get internet from Telus or are getting speeds as slow as 2 meg, depending where they live. Mobility's "smart hub" service is still not available in this area but I get 18eg/5meg doing a speedtest on my phone. I was told it would be offered once a fibre cable was placed to the cell site and that would happen by the end of last year..? When will they get the smart hub service working at cell site BC0396? It's pretty **bleep**ty Telus is doing nothing to improve their services to people in rural areas, especially when really there's no other options for people other than Explornet. More... |
