4K Wireless TV Receiver

Hi
I have a 4K Wireless receiver that is hard wired. Last night the channel up and down button didn't work, so I unplugged and plugged it back in. Started working okay after that. Noticed just before that the same thing had happened with my 4K PVR but didn't do anything as we were watching a program, but I gather if I do the same thing it should fix it. So was wondering if anybody has had this happen and if it's a common occurrence?
