Default Home Sales Plunge In Calgary

CHQR Newsroom
11/3/2008

Sales of single family homes in Calgary plunged by more than 26 percent last month compared to October 2007, and fell by more than 28 percent from September.
Prices dipped, but only slightly. An average house price in Calgary last month was $449,100. That compares to $452,254 one year ago.
The Calgary Real Estate Board says the current economic situation could be one factor for the dip in the market.
As well, the third quarter is traditionally slower.
Condo sales and prices were also down when compared to the October last year
