Default How do you choose a security system for your house?

I read that it is not required to install alarms for the small rooms. But what would you do if the burglar enters the unalarmed room first and one of your loved ones is sleeping over there? He/she might be in danger. So isn't it ideal to get a home security system that monitors the complete house? I have heard about a ADT based home security system that provides the complete protection. I think that it is better to choose ADT or ADT Pulse security system.
What type of security system you have, wired or wireless? The wireless home security systems are easy to connect. I think it works if you fixed the sensor in the wall and open the power supply to the security alarms and sensor alarms. But wireless cameras are more prone to interference and bad signals. It gets easily disturbed by the other devices and whether. Then how would I choose a home security system for our home? What are the things I should focus while picking a security system?
