Default How to move parents to a retirement community?

I visited my parents last week and I think it's time for them to move into a retirement community. They live about 25 miles away from the hospital. My father needs to consult doctor frequently and my mother is very upset about this. My father had a mild stroke last year and he is on oxygen 24 hours a day. The condition of the family is beginning to fall into despair. They used to take care of the farm. But, their health condition doesn't allow them to do so now.
I live 6 hours away by car. My other siblings also stay away from them and have the same driving distance. The closest one is 2.5 hrs away. So, it is not easy to get them for help. My mother bought up the idea about retirement community. She also mentioned about a community which has got nurse call systems installed, which will be convenient for my father. We didn't discuss this with our father. There are several nice ones in the town that is 20 miles away. Did anyone deal with this? Any suggestions?
