Default Babies first visit to dentist

Hi, my sister has a 1-year-old baby. The baby’s one tooth erupted. She is in a dilemma that at what age should she take my child to a dental clinic ? As per the suggestion from her mother in law, she is planning to take her baby to a dental clinic in Kitchener next week. When I heard this I asked my sister what is the need for taking the baby to the dental clinic now. As if now only one tooth has erupted in my niece’s mouth. It seems to be healthy too. So I didn't feel that there is a need for taking the baby to the dental clinic. But she compelled me to take the baby to the clinic. Actually, should we take the baby to the dental clinic now, when her tooth seem to be healthy? We should only take when there is some issue with the teeth? Why should we take the baby to the clinic now and make her tensed of seeing all the gadgets that are there in the clinic? Please give me some valuable information.
