I recently drove to Winnipeg Beach, and to my surprise when I arrived I had 4 bars (no 3G symbol). I couldn't do anything basically, although once I started driving back (about 5 mins towards the city) I got 3G and was able to use my phone. I thought this was odd as the advertised coverage doesn't...
