Bluetooth audio in car question

So I drive a 2012 ford escape that has Bluetooth built in. If I leave the Bluetooth on the iphone before I get in and start the car, the iPhone iPod kicks in and plays once the car starts up. Never had this happen on prior android devices. Anyone else have this problem? Not sure if I'm...
