Verizon iPhone 4S - sound issue

I have an iPhone 4S. Here recently my sound comes and goes. I have my sound on and volume all the way up. I have noticed here in the last week that when I charge my phone, I get my sound back, but then it goes out again in a matter of time. Is there an easy fix solution to this, or not? Sent...
