Amazing original in mint condition for sale! This is a 1977 Mercury Cougar XR7. It has two tone paint white and wine red. Looks amazing as you can see in the pictures. Even better in person. All original with only 67,326 miles! This car was babied since new and stored in a garage all its life and remains stored in my heated underground parking spot. No accidents or damage. Everything works including air conditioning! So comfortable to drive, has the Mercury Lincoln engineered ride. There are no rips, tears or cracks in any part of the interior or exterior. NO RUST. Drives like a dream. I took the pictures in Canmore today after taking her for a nice highway run to the mountains. The cruise control works perfectly and it handles beautifully.
You won't find any like it. The car is absolutely loaded with every option except a power moonroof. It has the rare tachometer package, handling package options. Air conditioning with automatic control, cruise control, tilt steering, power windows, power door locks, power seat, remote mirrors, power trunk, AM/FM stereo 8 track player which works perfectly, two tone paint option, vinyl/cloth seats which are very comfortable I might add, and an illuminated visor vanity mirror for your girlfriend to fix her make up. Mechanically it is sound. Like new. Nothing to do but drive and enjoy.Will be good for another 35 years.

This car also has the poly cast wheels which were the highest option available. These wheels are really nice and feature a red reflective center cap to cover the center. Unfortunately 1 of the center caps went missing somewhere along the way but I have located one and it is currently being sent to me from the US. They are hard to find. The white wall tires are basically brand new. They are Firestone FR380 tires with 95% tread remaining. They are so quiet on the highway and handle excellent. The power windows and locks work as new. No groaning or slow movement. You won't find better out there.

The trunk is clean and the spare tire is original believe it or not. This car was made in the last year before speedometers were measured in kilometres. This speedometer has both miles and kilometres showing but miles are still dominant and the odometer counts in miles. The amount of kilometers this car has is 108,350 kms if you do the conversion. Super low. I'm even including some 8 track tapes.
This car was new right at the height of the disco era and it really gives you that 70's feel driving. So much class. This is a real car! The wine red vinyl roof is so nice too. Everyone I meet tells me on how amazing this car looks. Really attracts attention.
There are a couple Cougars I found similar but not as nice in the US going for around $9000. I am pricing this car at $7500.
