News of a record turnout for a candlelight vigil in Hong Kong went unreported by Chinese media on the mainland, as government censors also blocked online searches for terms like "candle," "blood" and "May 35th." The vigil marked the 23rd anniversary of the Tiananmen massacre in Beijing on June 4, 1989.
