iOS 6.1.4 Mail App permanently broken?

Hi guys, My iPhone 5 is still using iOS 6.1.4 and it seems that the mail app has stopped functioning. When I refresh it, it just says "Connecting..." forever. Mail push also doesn't work either now. Last successful refresh was about 5 hours ago; I just noticed half an hour ago things aren't...
