This could be the most terrifying night of your life -- in the best way.
True daredevils will jump at the chance to sleep in Skylodge (http://www.naturavive.com/index.php/en/photo-gallery), a trio of transparent capsules wedged high on a mountainside in the Peruvian Andes (http://www.slate.com/blogs/atlas_obscura/2014/07/14/exploring_the_sacred_valley_of_the_incas_in_peru.h tml), not far from the city of Cuzco.
The pods are all-out luxurious: They measure a whopping 192 square feet -- about half the size of an average hotel room (http://www.fixr.com/costs/build-hotel) -- with plush beds, dining areas and bathrooms. The catch? You'll have to scale a nearly 1,000-foot cliff face to get there (http://www.naturavive.com/index.php/en/activities/skylodge-adventure-suites-en).

Peru-based tour company Natura Vive (http://www.naturavive.com/index.php/en/activities/skylodge-adventure-suites-en) operates the three Skylodge pods, which have four beds each.
Travelers usually begin their stay with a dizzying climb (http://www.naturavive.com/index.php/en/activities/skylodge-adventure-suites-en) up to the pods via a series of metal ladders and cables. Visitors also have the option to hike a daunting trail (http://www.naturavive.com/index.php/en/activities/skylodge-adventure-suites-en) to the top.

When guests arrive, they're met with views spanning Peru's famed Sacred Valley (http://www.lonelyplanet.com/peru/cuzco-and-the-sacred-valley/the-sacred-valley), known for its isolated villages and dangerous, narrow roads. At the end of each stay, a series of zip lines delivers guests back to the valley floor.
