Moving need new number but cant get rid of old number yet?

I need a new phone number in the new city that i'm looking for jobs in. But i can't get rid of my old number as too many important people call it. Is there any way to forward my old number to my new one? Or get two phone lines on one phone temporairly? Thanks for any help on the idea ...
