What do you do when you see an e-mail with the subject line: 'Invitation to the White House: July 1st'? Well, if you're like most people, you'd probably question it's validity and that's exactly what I did. But the good news is, it was real. I was being invited to the White House (https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2015/07/01/see-first-white-house-tour-photos-taken-more-50-years) on behalf of Dame Traveler along with 40 other Instagrammers to be the first group to photograph the historic house and spread the word via hashtag #WhiteHouseTour. (https://instagram.com/explore/tags/whitehousetour/)
What an honor! The day was pretty much epic and it went a lot like this:
Starting the day off by entering the White House and receiving this personalized invite:
