Major props to these scientists for introducing us to a whole new world of wonderfully wacky animals.
People in the science community took to Twitter (https://twitter.com/hashtag/CuteOff?src=hash), this week to participate in the most adorable social media battle known to mankind -- the #CuteOff. Scientists -- being scientists -- went off the beaten path and shared photos of some uniquely awesome animals that may not necessarily come to mind when you think of "cute."
This #CuteOff (https://twitter.com/hashtag/CuteOff?src=hash) needs moar inverts: The #SQUEEE (https://twitter.com/hashtag/SQUEEE?src=hash) is strong in this freshly-hatched little #cuttlefish (https://twitter.com/hashtag/cuttlefish?src=hash), Sepiola atlantica pic.twitter.com/gA3QwC1hVW (http://t.co/gA3QwC1hVW)

They posted pictures of cool critters like a baby cuttlefish (https://twitter.com/CarinaDSLR/status/638486370546270208?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw), and a Lowland streaked tenrec (https://twitter.com/am_anatiala/status/638618280886857728) (trust us, it's adorbz.)
Lucky for us, the #CuteOff got pretty heated and now we have so many more animals to gush over.
