Buying used iPhones

So I'm looking into buying used iPhone 6 since the price will drop with the 6S coming out. I guess there's no way to ensure that the person selling it really owned it fully. I mean you can check to make sure it's not activation locked and not blacklisted but in the future if the seller doesn't...
