Kanye West says he'll be running for president in 2020 (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/kanye-west-president-2020-life-is-amazing_55e3c090e4b0b7a96339615b), but first he's going to rub elbows with politicians in San Francisco this Red October.
The rapper is slated to perform at San Francisco's Warfield theater for a DNC fundraising event (http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/President-Barack-Obama-Rapper-Kanye-West-to-Attend-Democratic-National-Committee-Fundraiser-in-San-Francisco-329648671.html) on Oct. 10, according to NBC Bay Area. The outlet reports that tickets will be going anywhere from $250 to $10,000 (http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/President-Barack-Obama-Rapper-Kanye-West-to-Attend-Democratic-National-Committee-Fundraiser-in-San-Francisco-329648671.html) for patrons to hear songs from West's new album, "Swish." President Obama is also expected to make an appearance.
Though West has been public about his support for Obama (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=2015/03/14/kanye-west-obama-is-bsing_n_6869270.html), the rapper recently made comments praising Republican candidate Dr. Ben Carson.
"As soon as I heard Carson speak, I tried for three weeks to get on the phone with him. I was like, this is the most brilliant guy," said West in an interview with Vanity Fair (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/kanye-west-2020-carson_56043542e4b0fde8b0d1a0f7?utm_hp_ref=kanye-west).
