"Why are all the hot ones gay?" and "Are you sure you're gay?" are among the cringe-inducing remarks that are off-limits for the professional freeskier, who opened up about his sexuality in a simply-worded tweet (https://twitter.com/guskenworthy/status/657213362137272320) on Oct. 22 and a subsequent ESPN magazine interview (http://espn.go.com/olympics/story/_/id/13942305/olympic-freeskier-x-games-star-gus-kenworthy-first-openly-gay-action-sports-athlete).
Kenworthy, who nabbed a silver medal (http://usfreeskiing.com/athletes/gus-kenworthy-0) at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, is also frustrated by the tired phrase: "OMG! I love gay boys! Let's be friends."
"If that's your opening line as to why we should be friends, I doubt it's going to work out as a friendship," he quipped.
