iPhone 5 auto brightness setting not working.

When I set my phone to auto brightness it doesn't do anything. Before it would dim the display in low light and brighten it in high light. The iPhone 5 doesn't seem to be doing either. Anyone else experiencing this? Am I just crazy? hopefully I don't have a bad light sensor...
