Not many people are aware of this, but the slow cooker is really good at making desserts (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=2015/02/03/slow-cooker-dessert-recipes_n_6591486.html). Cakes and other sweets are made with little effort in this wondrous kitchen appliance, but most importantly is how well it can make fondue. And when we say fondue, we mean CHOCOLATE fondue.
If you haven't been making chocolate fondue in your slow cooker, you have seriously been missing out. Not only is this appliance the perfect fondue pot substitute -- almost better than the real thing -- but the recipe is just so simple and the end result is just so good. We're big fans of the recipe by Honey And Birch (http://www.honeyandbirch.com/slow-cooker-chocolate-fondue/) because she sneaks caramel and raspberry in with chocolate in her slow cooker (and uses pound cake, strawberries and marshmallows for dipping -- yum!).
