Welcome to Headline Hangover -- my weekly take on some of the ridiculous local, national and global news stories.
Here's a look back at some of the headlines that caught my attention in the final week of 2015:
New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, Donald Trump will be making an appearance on Fox News' (http://www.tvguide.com/news/kimberly-guilfoyle-donald-trump-fox-news-new-years-eve/) All American New Year.
For all of those that would like to celebrate a new beginning, while continuing to live out the morals of the mid-20th century

The 9th Annual Good Riddance Day took place in Times Square this week (http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/12/28/times-square-good-riddance-day-2015/). It's an event that lets people toss things into a shredding truck to create confetti for the New Year's Eve ball drop.
The most popular item tossed in were pictures of exes. A supervisor then told Taylor Swift that she had to let someone else take a turn.

A vehicle created in Egypt (https://stepfeed.com/tech/cutting-edge/egyptian-flying-car-a-bust/#.VoV3GlJgznY), dubbed the Egyptian Monster, that was supposed to have the ability to perform grandiose tasks, failed to do so in an embarrassing public display.
They've since renamed the machine "Donald Trump's eventual presidency."

Starting January 1, 2016, China is ending their decades-old one-child policy (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/china-one-child-policy-end_5631f669e4b00aa54a4cc651), and will begin to allow married couples to have two children.
Thus providing American adopters with double the options.
Celebrities are excited. Foreign child adoption is one of their top five hobbies.

The Philadelphia Eagles fired Head Coach Chip Kelly (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/eagles-chip-kelly-fired_56832504e4b06fa688817477?utm_hp_ref=nfl) this week after another dismal season that included questionable personnel decisions.
Kelly was reportedly looking for someone to console him after being relieved of his duties, but he released his wife in the 90s for an underperforming girlfriend.

Peyton Manning was accused of being linked (http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2015/12/denver_broncos_peyton_manning_linked_to_hgh_clinic .html) to an NFL-banned HGH supplement that can be utilized to give a player an unfair advantage.
Manning is now hoping to sign with the New England Patriots next season to be relieved of all allegations.
