Winter is a bleak time for produce in most places, there's no denying that. When compared to the bounty of spring and summer, it's hard to imagine eating seasonally in the dead of winter. What is there to eat, anyway, that hasn't been flown in from thousands of miles away? It turns out there are lots of fresh, seasonal options out there.
Beets (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=2015/01/12/beet-recipe-recipes-photos_n_4597961.html), carrots (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/carrot-recipes_us_564a0e2ee4b08cda3489c037), turnips (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/root-vegetable-recipes-you-need_us_5617dd09e4b0082030a225a0) and all the citrus (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=jennifer-segal/10-citrus-recipes-to-brig_b_6537172.html) you can imagine are just a few fresh choices during the cold months of January, February and March. And if you have the recipes that can keep these options from getting boring -- which we have for you below -- eating seasonally is a breeze. Check it out.
