The Oscars aren't #SoWhite anymore.
Chris Rock (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=news/chris-rock/) already called out the lack of diversity at the Oscars (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/chris-rock-oscars-tweet_us_569a5908e4b0ce496424a82d), dubbing the ceremony he's hosting the White BET Awards. And now he's leaving little doubt about the theme of the upcoming show.
Rock posted a static-filled video on Twitter Friday and teased a "#blackout" is on the way. "See you Sunday," says the 2016 host.

Rock has faced a lot of pressure since the the 2016 Oscar nominations were announced and no black actors were nominated (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=entry/michael-caine-controversial-oscar-comments_us_56a28929e4b0404eb8f18c9a) in individual actor categories. Some even called for him to boycott the ceremony (http://start.westnet.ca/newstempch.php?article=news/oscars-boycott/). But his tweet indicates that the host won't shy away from the controversy.
The Academy is reportedly "excited" (http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/news/chris-rock-rewriting-monologue-following-oscars-boycott-20160124) for Rock to address the #OscarsSoWhite issue. We'll see how they really feel on Sunday.
