Three students were wounded Monday at a shooting at a high school in Madison, Ohio. A suspect is in custody and all students are safe, according to the school district's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MadisonMohawks/posts/957289777660346).
The shooting occurred at Madison High School, according to multiple local (http://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/butler-county/shooting-lockdown-reported-at-madison-high-school) media (http://www.wlwt.com/news/report-of-2-people-shot-at-madison-high-school/38252402)reports. (http://www.journal-news.com/news/news/crime-law/report-of-at-least-1-person-shot-at-madison-high-s/nqZq3/) The school is located about an hour northeast of Cleveland.
Local news station WCPO reported (http://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/butler-county/shooting-lockdown-reported-at-madison-high-school) that two medical helicopters were requested to the high school.
Madison Local School District confirmed the shooting on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MadisonMohawks/posts/957289777660346), saying that none of the students sustained life-threatening injuries and that all students are safe.
As of Monday morning, district schools remained on lockdown.
