Issues Logging Into Open Hotspots Requiring "agree", etc

I am using a 6S on Verizon. I travel a lot and often log onto hotel wifi, restaurant, hospital, or other open hotspots that require either an agreement or room/name info. Never had a problem until recently. I select the hotspot and get the check mark. Either the web browser window never opens...
