Anybody buying the iPhone X?

I am thinking of getting the iPhone X but it's quite expensive... The phone and the features are pretty awesome. Anyone else planning to buy it? They start pre orders on oct 27 and ship on november 3. The price starts at 999 USD or 1319 CAD I feel it is pricier than the Galaxy Note 8
