I had fibre installed back in late July and haven't actually used my Chromecast since then...
Discovered that the Chromecast doesn't work, more specifically... the app on my phone won't find my Chromecast so I can't cast anything to it.
I made sure my phone and chromecast are on the same 2.4G wifi network. The Chromecast is connected, it is downloading wallpaper occasionally.
For some reason the router, the Actiontec T3200M is not allowing my phone to access the chromecast. I've read reports on the internet elsewhere that changing the firewall to High (I tried, it didn't work) and disabling AP Isolation (this router doesn't have that setting as far as I can tell.)
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Note: I hooked up both to a separate wifi device and it works. The Actiontec is definitely messing with something.
