Wireless / wired devices on same network not connecting

Recently moved to Telus and a T3200M router. Immediately noticed that I was having issues with wireless devices (ie - laptop) not being able to connect to wired devices (ie - server w/ shared drives) through the router. If I plug the laptop in to the router and disconnect WIFI I can access the shared drives. Unplugging the laptop and going back to WIFI and I can't reach the networked device again. Short of putting the T3200M into bridged mode and using my own router, am I missing a setting in the router config that would account for this? Thanks for any light you can shed on this...
