Fibre Optics coming to North Delta, BC?

someone representing Telus came here on Oct 16, 2017 and said that we would be upgraded to fibre optics with in 2 weeks. looked at the outside of the house to make sure they had access..no problems. a 2nd guy came by 2 days later, same spiel, told him we signed up already, he said someone was encroaching on his territory, weird whatever. bottom line they said it was going to be here and someone would make another appt with us to set up the box and show us how it works, our internet and optik tv speeds would greatly increase and data size too. NEWS?
