My wife and I purchased a new home recently, and when I called both Telus and Shaw I was informed that supposedly the cable drop for our house is buried and an install can't be done for internet until the ground thaws in May.
My brother in law is an electrician and he took a look at the conduit at the side of the house and there's definitely fibre of some sort coming in next to the panel in the basement. Is it worth asking if someone can come out and take a look? I telecommute for my job and it would be great if I can get internet sooner rather than later.
Thanks!
