Buying a used Nokia 920 locked to Rogers

What things do I need to check for or worry about when buying a used smartphone locked to Rogers? Does it matter if they just purchased it on a 3 year contract? It's their issue if they sell it I think, no? The cost of the phone is in the monthly payments I'm guessing... Any questions I...
