Call Forwarding iOS 14.5/12 Pro Max

I've been experimenting with my 12 Pro Max on Beta 14.5 and it seems that call forwarding now also forwards text messages. Does anyone have any experience with this or know if this has been available for earlier iOS versions? It used to be that voice service worked well, but texts did not...
