iPhone 12 screen sensitivity

I carry my phone, with a minimally protective (edges and back, no front plastic or extra glass) case, in my shirt pocket. Frequently, as it moves closer to and further from my body, the screen will light. Is there any sensitivity adjustment? I upgraded to the 12 from a 7 which required either...
