HDMI-CEC now available in 4K STB (Arris) menu, but not really working

I just noticed that HDMI-CEC is now available in the settings menu on the Arris VIP4662W set top box. I’ve been hoping for this for 2 years, so was pretty excited to stumble across it. Yet I wonder if it is really activated or working. My LG magic remote (CX tv) is not controlling the STB via CEC, even though it works well over IR and the SimpliLink (CEC) is enabled on the TV. The Arris update that brought us CEC also seems to have killed the ability to pair a Bell slimline Bluetooth remote to the Arris. This has worked well for me long time, but suddenly won’t pair. Telus, can you shed some light?
