If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

Hope that helps.

Just a heads up about Huntington Hills - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

My recommendation: spend a weekend in University Heights before buying. Walk around, check out the local shops, talk to people. You'll get a feel for whether it's your vibe pretty quickly.

Good luck!

We moved from Ranchlands to Acadia last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

We moved from Lake Bonavista to Inglewood last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

Ship & Anchor is a Calgary institution. Been going there for years. The patio in summer is one of the best spots in the entire city.

Sundance is a great choice! We've been here for 12 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

My recommendation: spend a weekend in Martindale before buying.

We're in Montgomery and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

I'd recommend driving through Inglewood at different times of day before you commit.

For families with young kids, Forest Lawn is hard to beat. Great playgrounds, safe streets, and the school is within walking distance for most residents.

Been in Ramsay for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.
