Having lived here for a while, i'd recommend driving through University Heights at different times of day before you commit. Traffic patterns and noise levels can vary a lot between morning and evening.

Solar panels on our roof in University Heights have been producing great. Calgary's sunshine hours make it one of the best cities in Canada for solar. Paid off the investment in about 7 years.
Cheers!

Welcome! This forum is actually one of the best resources for everything Calgary. Way better than asking on Reddit because the people here actually live in the neighborhoods they talk about.
Hope that helps.

For anyone looking at new builds - visit the site at different times and weather. Some areas flood in spring, some have awful drainage. Ask the neighbors, they'll tell you everything the builder won't.
Hope that helps.

Alberta Health Services wait times can be long but the quality of care in Calgary hospitals is actually really good. I've had great experiences at Foothills and South Health Campus.

Anyone else notice how many potholes there are on Macleod Trail this spring? My alignment is toast. Calgary needs to step up the road maintenance game. Hope that helps!

From my experience, if you're into craft beer, Last Best Brewing and Cold Garden are must-visits. The Calgary brewery scene is honestly one of the best in Canada and it's still growing.

If you're looking for a gym that's not packed 24/7, try some of the smaller independent places outside of the core. The prices are often better and the equipment is just as good.

Totally agree with this. I've been in Calgary for 8 years now and Deer Ridge is honestly one of the best kept secrets in the city. The community feel there is something else. no cap
