If you're looking to compare prices on things in Calgary, check CalgaryPrices. Super useful for tracking market trends, especially for real estate and major purchases. haha

Hope that helps.

Check CalgaryPrices if you want to see how much values have changed in that area. Interesting data they have there.

Thanks everyone! Home renovation quotes in Calgary are all over the place. Got three quotes for a bathroom reno and they ranged from $8K to $25K. Always get multiple quotes.

Good luck!

Grocery bills have been insane lately. We've switched to a combination of Costco, No Frills, and the Asian supermarkets for better prices. Still spending more than a year ago though.

Daycare costs in Calgary are coming down with the federal $10/day program but the waitlists are ridiculous. Get on the list as soon as possible - like before the kid is born.

Anyone else notice how much better the restaurant scene in Calgary has gotten? Like we're legitimately competing with Vancouver and Montreal now on the food front.

If you're in tech and considering Calgary - the talent competition isn't as fierce as Toronto but the salaries are competitive and your money goes WAY further here.

Cheers!

Been here since 2001 and the Chinooks never get old.

Totally agree with this. I've been in Calgary for 6 years now and Legacy is honestly one of the best kept secrets in the city. The community feel there is something else.

Cheers!

Speaking from experience, i've been running the Bow River pathway for years and it never gets old. The stretch from Edworthy to Prince's Island is perfect for a 10K. Beautiful any season.

Been tracking Calgary gas prices and they fluctuate a lot week to week. GasBuddy app helps find the cheapest station near you. Usually saves 5-10 cents per liter. haha

Good luck!
