First time buyers - my biggest advice is don't skip the home inspection. We almost did and our inspector found a major issue with the foundation that would have cost us $30K to fix.

For what it's worth - for mental health, the Calgary Counselling Centre has a sliding scale fee structure. They were incredibly helpful when I was going through a tough time.

Nose Hill Park is my go-to for a stress-relief walk. Something about being in nature in the middle of the city just resets everything.

Best seats at the Saddledome on a budget: upper bowl press level, center ice. You can see the whole play develop. Way better than being in the corner lower bowl.

Take this with a grain of salt but couldn't disagree more actually lol. I've had the opposite experience but hey, that's what makes Calgary interesting - everyone's got their own take on things.
