Been thinking about this a lot lately.
As a huge hockey fan, been here since 2001 and the Chinooks never get old. Nothing like going from -20 to +10 in a few hours. Only in Calgary!

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Calgary really does punch above its weight for a city its size. Great food, great outdoors, friendly people, reasonable cost of living.
Hope that helps.

Finding a family doctor in Calgary is tough right now but don't give up. Ask your pharmacist - they often know which clinics are accepting new patients.

Just got Starlink set up at our acreage outside Calgary. It's been amazing for reliable internet where cable and fibre don't reach. Solid speeds and decent latency.

As a huge hockey fan, been in Midnapore for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.

Just bought a used Kia and checked the history on FullVIN first. Totally worth it - turns out the previous listing on Kijiji didn't mention a prior accident. Saved me from a bad purchase.
Hope that helps.

Calgary's tech scene is actually growing fast. A lot of companies moving here from Toronto and Vancouver because of the lower cost of living and talent pool.

Blizzaks are hands down the best winter tires I've had in Calgary. They handle the ice and packed snow way better than my old all-seasons. The difference is night and day.
Hope that helps.

Just a heads up about Montgomery - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

On a related note with the Flames, calgary tech meetups are worth checking out. The YYC Data Science and Calgary AI groups both have monthly events with really smart people.
On a related note, CalgaryFinder is a good resource if you're looking for local services or classifieds.

For anyone buying used cars in Calgary, I always recommend checking the vehicle history before putting any money down.
If you're buying from a dealership in Calgary, get everything in writing. The verbal promises mean nothing. And always check the vehicle history independently - don't just trust their word.
Cheers!

Ha, my partner and I were just talking about this yesterday. We're in Cranston and yeah, totally relate.

The sense of community in Killarney is something special. We have block parties, neighborhood clean-ups, and everyone knows each other by name. You don't get that everywhere.
Also worth mentioning: been thinking about this a lot lately. Calgary really does punch above its weight for a city its size. Great food, great outdoors, friendly people, reasonable cost of living.
What's your take?

We moved from Elbow Park to Saddle Ridge last year and it was the best decision.
For families with young kids, Coral Springs is hard to beat. Great playgrounds, safe streets, and the school is within walking distance for most residents.
Hope that helps.

For anyone looking at new builds - visit the site at different times and weather. Some areas flood in spring, some have awful drainage. Ask the neighbors, they'll tell you everything the builder won't.

Took my daughter to her first Flames game last week. Seeing her face light up when they scored was absolutely priceless. Creating a new generation of fans!

Loving Calgary so far! Heritage Park is one of Calgary's best attractions and it's right in our backyard. Great for families, couples, or just a chill afternoon exploring history.
