Springbank Hill is a great choice! We've been here for 7 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.
Good luck!

Studio Bell at the National Music Centre is such a cool building and the exhibits are fantastic. If you're into music history, it's a must-visit.

AWD is nice for Calgary winters but honestly good winter tires on a front-wheel drive car will outperform all-seasons on an AWD every single time. Don't skip the tires thinking AWD will save you. just sayin

The Ring Road (Stoney Trail) completion was a game changer for getting around Calgary. Remember when you had to go through Deerfoot for everything?

I drive from Auburn Bay to downtown every day. The trick is leaving before 7:15 AM or after 9:00 AM. That 30-minute window makes a massive difference in commute time.
Good luck!

Green Line updates keep coming and going. I'll believe it when I see shovels in the ground. But the concept is exactly what Calgary needs.

The restaurant scene in Mahogany keeps getting better. A new spot just opened up and the reviews are already fantastic. Calgary's food game is strong.
Good luck!

The market right now is competitive but not insane like Toronto or Vancouver.
Condo owners in Calgary - just be careful with special assessments. Read the reserve fund study before buying. Learned that lesson the hard way.
Cheers!

Solar panels on our roof in Nolan Hill have been producing great. Calgary's sunshine hours make it one of the best cities in Canada for solar. Paid off the investment in about 7 years.
Cheers!

Quick data point: been in Parkdale for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.

Ha, my partner and I were just talking about this yesterday. We're in Point McKay and yeah, totally relate.

Welcome aboard! If you just moved to Calgary, definitely explore the different neighborhoods when you get a chance. Each one has its own personality. You'll find your spot!
Hope that helps.

For anyone dealing with seasonal depression in Calgary - the winter can be tough despite the sunshine.
Finding a family doctor in Calgary is tough right now but don't give up. Ask your pharmacist - they often know which clinics are accepting new patients.

We're in Rangeview and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.
Good luck!

Alberta Health Services wait times can be long but the quality of care in Calgary hospitals is actually really good. I've had great experiences at Foothills and South Health Campus.
